The culmination of the Northern League’s Twenty20 competition has been reduced to one match at Lancaster’s Lune Road on Sunday.

The original plan for two semi-finals and a final has been scrapped after Blackpool and Darwen pulled out due to a clash with their latest Lancashire Knockout ties.

It now means hosts Lancaster, known as the LPNM Lunesiders in the competition, and Netherfield will battle it out for the TWP Wealth T20 title at 2pm.

Northern League officials are understood to have asked Fleetwood and Chorley to take a place in the semi-finals - however both teams declined.

Plenty of planning has gone into the marquee day of Lancaster’s season with fun for all the family in the form of a BBQ, indoor and outdoor bar, music, a bouncy castle and face painting.

The Lancashire Cricket Board will also be hosting a competition where people can test out their bowling skills against a speed gun.
