A depleted Lancaster Super League Darts side were 6-4 winners at Halliwell.
The city team had seven players missing and requested the fixture be rearranged with the match only going ahead at the league’s insistence.
John Court got the hosts off to the perfect start beating Michael Gladstone 3-0.
Chris Stobbart then levelled the score annihilating Peter Mokos with legs in 19, 20 and 17 darts for a man of the match winning average of 81.09.
Chris Dean came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against Wayne Taylor before David Coulton increased Lancaster’s lead.
Kev Beare rounded off the first half by beating Rob Dyson in straight legs.
Halliwell then came on strong as they took the next three games against what can only be described as Lancaster’s second string.
However it was Lancaster who prevailed winning the last two games thanks to Jordan Robson and “Man of Steel” Dave Speak.
Lancaster are in action again on January 25 when they entertain Bury Town at the newly-opened Squires on Church Street, Lancaster.
