A Carnforth rugby player will represent England this Friday night.
Former Vale of Lune player Jordan Dorrington, now with National League 1 side Fylde, will play for the England Counties XV against Scotland Club XV at Fylde’s Woodlands Memorial Ground on February 27.
Winger Dorrington, and his club captain, Lancaster Royal Grammar School teacher Evan Stewart, are amongst seven new caps for the representative team which is the flagship for community rugby in England.
The squad will train at Myerscough College in Preston ahead of the international, the Counties XV’s only home fixture this season.
England Counties XV will play France Federale XV at Perigeux on March 20 and will then play two matches in Romania on their summer tour in early June.
