A Carnforth Otters swimmer captained Lancashire to their 14th successive title at the National County Team Championships at Pond’s Forge, Sheffield on Sunday.

Thompson produced some excellent swims, a personal best of 27.95 on the breaststroke leg of the 4 x 50m medley team relay helping the senior boys to a blistering 1.41.97.

Another personal best in the 100m butterfly followed 10 minutes later for a third-placed finish with the rising Otters star then coming second in the breaststroke to help secure victory for the team.
