Seven Lancaster & Morecambe Athletics Club runners took part, with some brilliant performances over the 26.2mile event on Sunday.

Crossing the line in 1,137th place out of more than 8,500 runners was Michael Roy, who smashed his previous personal best by a staggering 41 minutes, running a fantastic 3h.18.53.

In next was Louise Goddard, also recording a fast time with a superb run of 3h.26.33 to finish sixth veteran 50.

Ben Ransome was next, shaving off five minutes from his PB with a great effort of 3h.49.16.

He was followed by Steve Perry and Zoe Hooton who finished together, running well for a time of 4h.11.47.

Close behind was Kate Korab running well in 4h.13.41 and next Lisa Preston with a good run of 4h.32.01 on a good day for the district runners.
