Morecambe’s Westgate Warrior extended his undefeated record with a fifth professional victory on Saturday night.

Isaac Lowe picked up a four-round points victory over journeyman Pavels Senkovs on the latest VIP Promotions card at the Oldham Sports Centre.

The Mansfield-based Latvian had only ever been stopped on cuts and provided a different proposition for knockout artist Lowe who triumphed 39-37 on referee Phil Edwards’ card.

The 19-year-old featherweight said: “I’m very happy with the win.

“It was a good points win, a good four rounds under my belt and it’s exactly what I needed. It’s all about getting the experience.

“I’m a come forward fighter and took it to him a bit and did get caught with some shots but it’s a learning curve for me.

“I got back to my boxing and boxed his head off really and caught him sweetly. I felt good.”

There’s no rest for the Lancaster Boxing Academy fighter who will move upto six rounds in pro fight number six when he returns to action at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on November 15.

He said: “I’m straight back in the gym and back out on the November 15 in my first six-rounder.

“It’s back in Blackpool, I like boxing in Blackpool it’s a good place for me and let’s hope I can get another win and maybe another KO.

“I hope more people will be following me from Morecambe and Lancaster too.

“It’s not just for me, it’s for everyone in the town.

“I just want everyone to get behind me and I can bring titles back to Lancaster and Morecambe.”

Lowe will be running a bus to the show in November, which also features unbeaten Bentham light heavyweight Tomi Tatham.
