The bantamweight has announced he will be part of the big BAMMA and Bellator co-promotion at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, on December 16.

The 28-year-old’s opponent is yet to be confirmed.

Walsh, 14-4, lost his BAMMA Bantamweight title in his last fight, being knocked out by French rising star Tom Duquesnoy as he headlined BAMMA 25 at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham in May.

The Lancaster and Morecambe MMA and Tiger Muay Thai fighter had picked up four straight wins before the defeat as he dropped from featherweight down to bantamweight.

As part of his Tiger Muay Thai link up, Walsh has recently spent time training in Phuket, Thailand, where he now spends a few months of the year, and will return there to make the final preparations for his fight having spent a few weeks training with brother Sergio in Lancaster.

Duquesnoy, nicknamed ‘Fire Kid’, is set to headline the card when he takes on Northern Ireland’s Alan Philpott.

Information on tickets for anyone wanting to support Walsh out in Ireland is set to be confirmed shortly.
