Hide AdCaptain Ben Simm is looking forward to the promising left-hander displaying his talents at Lune Road.
The off-spinner, who sits on 499 league wickets heading into the 2016 season, said: “He hasn’t played a great deal of first-class cricket but he’s a talented Indian player coming through.
“Chances are more limited over there because of the volume of players they’ve got.
“He’s young and keen to do well and progress.
“He’s a real stroke maker who bowls a bit of seam. Hopefully he can chip in in that department but he’s here as a batsman and strikes a clean ball.”

Hide AdSimm says the signing of Khod has been made with an eye on the future.
He said: “He’s not got the same got pedigree as Rameez who had played international cricket but hopefully he can come here and help us win a few games.
“He’s a bit younger and we’re hoping he can maybe come over here for a few years and it not just be a one or two year thing.
“Hopefully we can have a bit of consistency.”
