Daniel Woods won the toss for Torrisholme and he decided to put the visitors into bat first, but Lancaster batted superbly and impressively finished on 245-8.

Charlie Swarbrick (86) was the pick of Lancaster’s batsmen, although Kieran Moffat (58) and Faizan Khan (34) also contributed well.

In reply, Torrisholme captain Woods (39) tried to lead by example, top scoring for his team, while Bryson Little (34) also impressed. However, Aaron Tinker (13) was the only other batsman to reach double figures as Torrisholme were dismissed for 141, well short of their target.

Ben Simm (5-52) was Lancaster’s best bowler of the day, but Kieran Moffat (2-10), Iain Perrieman (1-16), Charlie Swarbrick (1-20) and Scott Sparks (1-41) also played their part in a good team performance.
