Kirkby ladies outfox competition to win league title

Kirkby Foxes have been crowned champions of Division One of the Lancaster and Morecambe Netball League.

The ladies saw off competition from runners-up Lancastrians 1, scoring 351 goals across the season while conceding just 92.

The squad of nine is captain Kim Bradshaw, Jayne Lawson, Jenny Ward, Frances Smith, Bethan Stoll, April Boyd, Rachel Diss, Sarah Blacow and Janet Winstanley.

There is also coach Lesley Benson and umpires Carol Catnach and Lesley Bailey. EDF Tigers were the winners of Division Two.
