Impressive medal haul for Lancaster youngsters in Blackpool

Swimmers from Lancaster City Swimming and Water Polo Club enjoyed a highly successful weekend at the North Lancs Development Meet in Blackpool.

In her first gala Imogen Barker achieved an excellent six-second personal best in the 50m freestyle.

Having recently joined the club, Anan Clarke continued to show his rapid improvement in his six events by taking two gold medals, two bronze medals, posting five personal bests and picking up a speeding ticket.

Emily Wilson had a brilliant competition and set of results to win three golds and a bronze.

In amongst her four personal bests were a huge nine seconds off her 100m freestyle time and 15 seconds off her 200m breastroke best.

Georgia Wilson swam consistently for five personal bests in eight races while Katie Wilson picked up six personal bests in nine races, including taking six seconds off her best time in the 100m freestyle.

Harry Shaw was in tremendous form to win two gold medals, a silver and a bronze together alongside three personal bests.

Jack Collett also excelled to get a full set of personal bests in his five events, winning three silver medals and picking up a speeding ticket in the 50m freestyle.

Marcus Robinson had a fantastic series of results to combine five personal bests with one speeding ticket, two gold medals and three bronze in six events.

Daisy Pollitt swam really well for a bronze medal in the 200m freestyle and to set two personal bests, as did Jasmine Robson to record four personal bests and pick up a bronze medal in the 50m freestyle.

Lucas Heaton had a good gala setting two personal bests, narrowly missing a medal and Jessica Tipton swam strongly in the 50m breaststroke and freestyle events.
