Lancaster Hockey Club's second team went down 3-1 at Pendle Forest 2s.

Pendle were soon two goals to the good but Lancaster kept plugging away with Toni Fagan seeing one effort disallowed.

The visitors got their goal when captain Helen Gates managed to get a brilliant touch on a pass into the D.

Lancaster worked hard to get themselves back level but Pendle crucially got the next goal with 10 minutes to play to seal a 3-1 victory.

The first team had a double header, losing 3-0 at home to Whitley Bay & Tynemouth Ladies 2s on Saturday before drawing 1-1 at Morpeth Ladies 1s on Sunday.

Lancaster’s Development side drew 1-1 at Ambleside Ladies 2s on Sunday.
