Tyson Fury has been fined £15,000 by the British Boxing Board of Control.
The sanction comes following complaints about an outburst from the brash Morecambe heavyweight during a press conference in London to promote his July 26 rematch with Dereck Chisora.
The match was postponed due to a hand injury sustained by Chisora in sparring and provisionally rescheduled for November 22 at London’s Excel Arena pending the outcome of Wednesday’s hearing in Cardiff.
Having avoided a suspension, Fury is now free to pursue the rematch which is set to be a WBO World Heavyweight title eliminator with the European and vacant British titles also on the line.
Promoter Frank Warren is set to hold a press conference on Monday, September 15, to announce full details of the show with Fury and Chisora in attendance.
