Miller follows Player of the Season Jamie Devitt to the Cumbrian club, where the pair will link up for the coming season.

Lee Dykes, who is Carlisle’s Head of recruitment, told their website: “Shaun is a clever player who can lead the attack for the team, either with support or on his own.

“He has excellent movement off the ball and he knows where to be when he gets into attacking areas.

“We think Shaun will settle well and he joins a squad of very good players.”

“His connection with Jamie [Devitt] will help both of them with the settling-in process, and he is another player who played extremely well against us at Brunton Park last season.

“He scored twice on that day, but it was his performances throughout the season which really caught our eye.

“This is a player who we think will add something exciting to the level of ability within the group.”

Miller signed for Morecambe on a one-year deal last summer and went on to score 16 goals in 43 appearances for the Shrimps.

He becomes the second player to leave the Shrimps for Carlisle this summer, following Jamie Devitt’s move earlier this month. Player of the season Devitt joined The Blues on a two-year deal after making 98 appearances for Morecambe, scoring 12 goals.
