The 28-year-old’s brace helped The Shrimps to a 3-2 win as he made it four goals in three games over the last week.

Having been short of games and goals over the last couple of years the former Crewe, Coventry and Sheffield United front man has become a firm favourite with Shrimps fans with a stunning seven days in front of goal.

Miller said: “It’s been a great week for me personally and it was topped off on Saturday with a great performance from everyone.

“I’m feeling really good.

“I felt really good coming on at Bury in midweek and it was nice to kick on and get two more goals.

“I’m feeling really confident in front of goal and feeling confident within the team.

“It was massively important to get back to winning ways (in the league).

“That’s what we went to Carlisle to do and we were all absolutely buzzing in the dressing room.”

The win at Brunton Park saw The Shrimps once again rip a side to pieces on the counter attack.

Miller’s fine all-round forward play complemented the pace of Tom Barkhuizen, endeavour of Kevin Ellison and creativity Jamie Devit to devastating affect.

The striker said: “We just hit them on the counter attack brilliantly.

“There were several times where we were really dangerous and could have scored me.

“We looked really impressive. We just soaked up the pressure and hit them on the break.

“It was bit nervous towards the end with that second goal but it was a great performance and a great three points.”

The Shrimps will be hoping for more of the same at AFC Wimbledon this Saturday.

Miller said: “I don’t know what it is, maybe it’s that we’re counter attacking even more away from home.

“It will be nice to have a full week’s training and we’ll go to Wimbledon with massive confidence and looking to follow this up with another three points.”
