This Friday night The Shrimps make the trip to last season’s play-off finalists Cheltenham, who have had a mixed start.
Mark Yates. Former Kidderminster Harriers boss took charge at Whaddon Road in 2009 and last season guided Robins to the play-off final, only to see his side lose 2-0 to Crewe. Former midfielder spent five years at the club as a player between 1999 and 2004 making more than 200 appearances.
One to watch
Shaun Harrad. On-loan Bury striker has already scored five goals for the Robins since joining club on a season-long loan in August and will be the focal point of their attack. Wide man Jermaine McGlashan will also have to be well marshalled by the Shrimps defence.
Shrimps have won three of the six League 2 games between the two sides including both games last season. Jim Bentley’s side won the corresponding fixture at Whaddon Road 2-1 in August 2011, Kevin Ellison scoring an injury time winner for Morecambe.
The Robins have had an up and down run of late, but are unbeaten in their last two after a goalless draw at York on Saturday and 2-1 win at home to Oxford last Tuesday night. Won two and lost two at home this season.
