North Lancs round-up: Weather hits fixtures

In Division One Millhead were held to a 2-2 draw with Kirkby Lonsdale.

James Thornton and Ben Sharpe were on target for Millhead while Joe Mather scored twice for Kirkby.

In the Holdens Solicitors/Gibson Challenge Cup second round, Cartmel and District Reserves beat Bolton-le-Sands 10-1.

Ryan Patterson, Sean McClure, Billy Garnett (2) Cameron Young (3), Nathan Bushell (2) and Richard Spendlove all got on the scoresheet in what was a comfortable cup win.

Andy Banks scored Bolton-le-Sands’ only goal of the game. In Division Three, Pressall and Pilling beat College AFC Reserves 4-1 thanks to goals from Josh Barnes, Jack Ashworth and two from Dave Danson.

Barnes also scored at the other end, but his own goal was only a consolation for College.

Cartmel and District A beat Burton United 9-2 thanks to goals from Mark Davies, Adam Harding, Tony Wilson, Phil Keith, Joe Cowperthwaite and Carl Davidson (4). Burtons goals were scored by James Arnold and Darren Thompson.

Carnforth Rangers were due to take on Preston Wanderers in the last eight of the Lancashire FA Amateur Cup on Saturday, but the game was called off due to the weather.
