James Thornton and Ben Sharpe were on target for Millhead while Joe Mather scored twice for Kirkby.

In the Holdens Solicitors/Gibson Challenge Cup second round, Cartmel and District Reserves beat Bolton-le-Sands 10-1.

Ryan Patterson, Sean McClure, Billy Garnett (2) Cameron Young (3), Nathan Bushell (2) and Richard Spendlove all got on the scoresheet in what was a comfortable cup win.

Andy Banks scored Bolton-le-Sands’ only goal of the game. In Division Three, Pressall and Pilling beat College AFC Reserves 4-1 thanks to goals from Josh Barnes, Jack Ashworth and two from Dave Danson.

Barnes also scored at the other end, but his own goal was only a consolation for College.

Carnforth Rangers were due to take on Preston Wanderers in the last eight of the Lancashire FA Amateur Cup on Saturday, but the game was called off due to the weather.
