One of the games played was in the Premier Division where after working all morning on the pitch the Trimpell and Bare surface was passed fit for play by the match referee as Trimpell beat Bowerham 4-1.

With both Trimpell and Bowerham being out of action for weeks the opening was a bit rusty as both tried to find a bit of form.

The game was more important to Bowerham as they are fighting to avoid relegation while Trimpell are riding high in the league.

The opening goal for Trimpell was an own goal by a Bowerham defender with other goals following from Johnny Durnan, Andrew Wade and Dominic Hoyle but the goal of the game was scored by Geoff Crossley for Bowerham.

In the Division One Holdens Solicitors/Gibson Cup secnd round Carnforth Rangers Reserves came from 1-0 down to beat a poor AFC Moorlands side 2-1.

The first half was not brilliant as both sides tried to play football in trying conditions.

The Moorlands side, although playing well below their best, took the lead with a great Jack Baxter goal.

The second half saw Carnforth push forward more and draw level when after a goalmouth scramble a cheeky back heel from Jacob Robinson found the back of the net.

Both sides then went all out looking for the winning goal.

The longer the game went it looked as though the game would go to extra-time and possible penalties as both sides cancelled each other out.

Then out of the blue and with just two minutes remaining the best player on the day Cameron Holmes found the back of the net to give Carnforth a semi-final place where they will be at home to the winners of the Westgate Wanderers/ TIC Dyn/Overton/Middleton tie.
