North Lancashire League: Carnforth seal second spot in Premier Division

Carnforth Rangers sealed second place behind champions Caton United in the Baines Bagguley Penhale North Lancashire Premier Division with a 4-2 win over Morecambe Royals on Saturday.

Nick Pidcock, with two, Jordan Dixon and Phil Meeks got the goals with Dan Broadley and Johnny Durnan on target for the Royals.

Elsewhere all promotion and relegation has been decided with College AFC dropping out of the Premier Division.

Swarthmoor Social Club are champions of Division One with Mayfield United joining them in the Premier Division next season as runners-up.

Grange and Bolton-le-Sands have been relegated.

Freehold FC have won the Division Two title with Boys Club also promoted in second place.

Relegated will be Tic Dyn/Overton/Middleton Reserves.

In Division Three Boys Club Reserves are the champions with Preesall and Pilling runners-up.

College AFC Reserves and Storeys Reserves are set to drop down to Division Four which was won by FC Britannia with Westgate Wanderers in second.

Ingleton Reserves lifted with Alan Shanks/Fisher/Howson/Remembrance Cup with a 1-0 win over Highgrove Reserves in the final.

Twice losing finalists Ingleton lifted the trophy with a 25th-minute goal from player-manager Mark Dobson enough for victory.

lPremier Division side Galgate are looking for a new first team manager.

Experience of managing in the North Lancashire Premier League or higher would be preferred although all candidates will be considered.
