Lancaster City boss Darren Peacock was left frustrated after his side gave themselves another mountain to climb against Kendal on Boxing Day.
The Dolly Blues went 2-0 down against the Mintcakes before hauling themselves back into the game in the second half only to see a Jordan Connerton penalty give Michael Stringfellow’s side a 3-2 win.
He said: “Putting aside what it meant to the players and the supporters it was just another really frustrating game.
“We started quite well and were in control but then there was another mistake defensively for the first goal and Jordan Connerton had all the time in the world to finish.
“After the second goal you go in at half-time and it’s a shame to say, not in an unusual position for us this season.
“I think we’ve gone behind something like 11 times.
“The second half was totally different and we battered them creating chance, after chance, after chance.
“It’s just really disappointing and frustrating even if from our point of view the second half performance was pleasing.”
