I’m still bemused about Tuesday night. We went from 2-0 up, cruising and comfortable and it was just a matter of how many it was going to be against Padiham.
But it was normal Lancaster City, missing chances when we were on top.
They got one back and we put ourselves under pressure but we made it 3-1 with less than 10 minutes to see the game out and somehow we let it slip and ended up lucky to get a point at 3-3.
It’s something of a trend that we seem to be missing chances when we’re comfortable and then it comes back to bite us.
It’s very disappointing, two points lost. They’re bottom of the league but you’ve got to respect them.
We were comfortable until the last 10 minutes. They’re the kind of games that you’ve got to win at home.
We’ve got injury problems, including me, but at 2-0 they hadn’t troubled us so you can’t use it as an excuse.
It’s really disappointing given the good few games we’ve had.
My knee’s sore. I did it on Saturday after about 20 minutes at New Mills and played on but it was really painful at the end of the game.
It’s been getting better every day and I was hopeful of playing on Tuesday but the physio said I never had any chance.
I just want to play every game, I tried a bit of a fitness test but it lasted about 10 seconds!
I’m missing the FC United game anyway as I’m on holiday so I wanted to go out with a win but it wasn’t to be. I’ve got a good week and a half to recover now so I should be fine for the Saturday after I get back.
The lads know they’ve got every chance of getting a result on Saturday in the FA Cup.
They’re the league above but on our day I’m confident we can beat them.
It’s the FA Cup so you’ve got to expect to face teams from higher up to reach the next round and hopefully it will be our year.
