Lancaster City have found out who their first FA Trophy and FA Cup opponents will be next season.

The Dolly Blues will travel to either Pickering Town or Washington in the FA Cup Preliminary Round on Saturday, August 30.

Darren Peacock’s side have also been drawn at home to Evo-Stik First Division North rivals Bamber Bridge in the FA Trophy Preliminary Round on Saturday, October 18.

City returned to pre-season training on Thursday night at Lancaster University with reserve team boss Ian Hughes running the session with Peacock, first team coach George Norrie and some of the club’s younger players currently out in Barbados and set to return on Monday.

A side principally made up of fringe and reserve team youngsters has been taking part in the Kickstart International Tournament as the Dolly Blues look to build up links on the island.

The full Evo-Stik First Division North fixture for the new season is set to be released on July 17.
