Lancaster City play their rearranged game at fellow Evo-Stik First Division North play-off hopefuls Darlington 1883 on Wednesday night.

The clash represents a real test of the Dolly Blues’ promotion credentials with the North East side three places and seven points above City in the table in fourth.

Captain Neil Marshall said: “It’s a big game tonight.

“It’s difficult going to Darlington. It’s a long trip on the coach midweek but we’re going there looking for a result.

“They are the fancied side in the division this season because of their history but I thought we should have beaten them at home.”

The Dolly Blues will be without striker Mark Jackson who has left the club to rejoin Evo-Stik Premier Division side Skelmersdale United.

The game at Heritage Park kicks off at 7.45pm.
