Lancaster City’s players have returned to pre-season training.
The Dolly Blues got back to work ahead of the new season last Thursday, July 3, with new reserve team boss Ian Hughes overseeing the session with boss Darren Peacock on the club’s trip to Barbados at the time.
The head coach took his first session on Lancaster University’s 3G pitch on Tuesday and was pleased with what he saw from a mixture of first-team regulars, reserve players and new potential new faces.
Peacock said: “It was good to get back.
“We had 23 on Tuesday. It’s still early days and we’ve still got players coming back like Garry Hunter and Rob Henry.
“It was good though and some of the younger lads have been working hard at VVV (gym, in Hest Bank).
“We’ll be assessing the players properly over the next few days and I’m really looking forward to it all. “It’s only five weeks to the big kick off and it soon comes round.”
