LEE Dodgson and Ryan Elderton are returning to Lancaster City.
The pair have expressed a desire to return to the Giant Axe and the former fan favourites will join up with the club at the start of pre-season training on July 5.
City boss Tony Hesketh said: “We knew we needed to attract some more experienced players and Ryan and Lee expressed a desire to come and play.
“They have good experience and good quality and are ambitious.
“We’re going to give it a go next season and are targetting six or seven players. Ryan and Lee could be vital for us next season.”
Winger Dodgson left City two years ago to join Fleetwood, after scoring 18 goals in the 2008-09 season, picking up the Lancaster Guardian’s Joe Stephenson Memorial Trophy for the best average mark given by the Guardian.
He failed to make a mark with the Cod Army however and rejoined his former Morecambe manager Jim Harvey for a spell at Stalybridge Celtic.
