LANCASTER City assistant manager Phil Brown says the Dolly Blues are aiming to “finish the season off in style”.

City face Belper Town in the President’s Cup Final on Tuesday, April 5 but Brown says City haven’t forgotten about the league despite a play-off position looking unlikely.

Brown said: “We’re looking to finish the season off in style and we want to end the season as high as we can.

“We probably can’t make the play-offs but we can finish in the top six. We certainly don’t want to finish any lower than we are now.

“We’re looking to win every game but we want everyone available and fighting fit for the final so we will rotate the side.”

City went the right way about improving on their league position as they defeated leaders Chester City at the Giant Axe on Saturday.
