THIS Saturday’s game against Witton Albion is Lancaster City’s biggest of the season so far according to boss Tony Hesketh.

The match pits fourth against third in the Evo-Stik First Division North in a game that will have a big say in the Dolly Blues’ promotion aspirations.

And Hesketh believes if City can turn over the Cheshire side at the Giant Axe they stand a good chance of snatching third place and a home draw in the play-offs.

He said: “With five games to go we’ve got to make our home advantage count.

“If we win on Saturday we will be breathing down their necks and who would have thought that a few months ago?

“It’s the biggest game of the season so far without a doubt. It’s all hands to the pump for victory on Saturday.

“If they beat us on Saturday they will have cemented third place so it’s a must win game.

“It should be a great game and is one we look forward to.

“Hopefully we’ll get good support because this is a massive game for Lancaster City Football Club.”
