Two goals from Tom Kilifin and strikes from captain Neil Marshall and Aaron Taylor gave the Dolly Blues a first win in five Evo-Stik First Division North games.

Kilifin’s first came from the penalty spot before skipper Marshall powered home a header from Ryan Winder’s corner.

Billy Akrigg then fed Kilifin for his second and City’s third before Taylor outmuscled the defence to round the ‘keeper and make it 4-0.

The hosts did get a late consolation through substitute Matty Barlow 15 minutes from time.

The Dolly Blues are next in action tonight, Tuesday, when they host Padiham in the league at Giant Axe.

The East Lancashire side pulled off something off a coup this week with the signing of former Blackpool striker Brett Ormerod.

Darren Peacock then leads his side into a tasty FA Cup tie on Saturday when they travel to Evo-Stik Premier Division side FC United of Manchester in the second qualifying round.
