Neil Marshall column: We're getting to the stage where it's win or bust

It's a bit of a make or break weekend for us really with two matches in three days.

We’ve got games against Warrington and Kendal over the bank holiday and need two positive results to keep up the pressure on the play-off places.

It’ll be easier said than done though with top of the table Warrington first up on Saturday.
They’re a good few points clear at the top now but as we proved in the Lancashire Cup final against Chorley we can raise our game against the bigger teams.

They’re closing in on the title but I’m sure they won’t be taking their foot off the gas.

Then we’ve got the big game at Kendal Town on Monday.

They’ve obviously had a difficult season but as with every derby match it doesn’t matter where teams are in the league or what kind of run you’re on, it’s a must win game for both sides.

It’s always a good game to be involved in and hopefully they’ll be a big bank holiday crowd.

We’ll go into the games brimming with confidence though after a good win over Radcliffe.

With that happened in the cup final it could have been a case of after the Lord Mayor’s show last Saturday.

That’s no disrespect to Radcliffe but after the big crowd for the final it could have been something of a come down.

But we started really well and didn’t look back, finishing them off well in the second half. We seem to be enjoying our football at the moment and are scoring plenty of goals.

The only frustration on Saturday was conceding with pretty much the last kick of the game.

As a defender I always want a clean sheet, especially in games where we’ve been so dominant.

I came off a bit disappointed but we can’t be disappointed with the result and another three points that keeps us in the play-off hunt.
