MORECAMBE boss Jim Bentley says the club won’t appeal against Kevin Ellison’s sending off against Cheltenham on Friday night.

The Shrimps believe their wide man was wrongly dismissed but Bentley says there is a lack of video evidence to protest against the decision.

“Everyone who I have spoken to who saw the incident says it didn’t deserve a red card and in normal circumstances I would look to appeal it,” said Bentley.

“But the ball had gone down the other end of the field and the camera followed it.

“Unlike the Premiership we do not have the luxury of loads of cameras to cover every angle and I have watched what footage there is and you can’t see anything that would have backed our case.”

Ellison’s three-game ban starts tonight Tuesday, for the game against Chesterfield at the Globe Arena.
