Morecambe set for different test from Bolton

Morecambe boss Jim Bentley is looking forward to a different test for his side when Bolton Wanderers visit the Globe Arena on Friday night.

After opening their pre-season campaign with a 5-0 win at Kendal Town on Tuesday night, Bentley knows it will be a completely different workout against Neil Lennon’s side.

Bentley said: “We usually have the four home games against clubs at different levels and then a couple of non-league teams away from home.

“It’s worked well in the past. You get different football and different surroundings which you’ve got to get ready for.

“It covers all aspects of the game. Different problems and scenarios will be thrown up.

“Hopefully we’ll have more of the ball against the lesser sides and we might chase the ball a bit more against the bigger and better sides.

“It’s a nice balance and a nice blend and we’re looking forward to getting more game time after a tough first couple of weeks on the training ground.”

The Championship side, who are improving under former Celtic boss Lennon, returned from trip to Austria earlier in the week.

Former England striker Emile Heskey could be amongst those to feature for Wanderers.

The game at the Globe Arena is a 7.30pm kick-off.
