The Shrimps travel to Scunthorpe United, looking to pick up a fifth league win from seven matches on the road this season.

That away form has been the foundation on which the club finds itself 10th in League Two, one point off the top seven.

“They have done really well, winning 2-0 at Oldham and then 1-0 at Port Vale,” Adams said.

“They have picked up six points in two games away from home and have given themselves a really good opportunity.

“I’ve watched both games and I think they are a talented outfit – but we’re on a good unbeaten run in the league and cup competitions.

“It’s important to continue the form that we’ve shown.

“We have the best away record in the league so far and we want to continue that.”

Morecambe go into tomorrow’s game unbeaten in their last five league and cup matches.

The latest of those was Wednesday’s 4-0 win against Manchester United’s U21s in their last Papa John’s Trophy group stage outing.

Adams made eight changes to the side which drew with Stevenage and saw some of those who haven’t featured lately give a reminder of their abilities.

He said: “It’s given an opportunity to get some minutes in them.

“I’m delighted with that. They have shown a really good attitude, passed the ball well and been able to get some goals.”
