Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s Brewers can secure a place in League 1 if they win and other results got their way.

But assistant boss Ken McKenna believes the Shrimps can profit with the pressure well and truly on the visitors as they look to get over the line in the League 2 promotion race.

Jim Bentley’s number two said: “It’ll be a good game but when you’re trying to get over that line for promotion and winning titles it does get a little bit difficult.

“They scraped a draw at Carlisle (on Wednesday night) which was a bit of a wobble and they’ll be under a little bit of pressure so we think we can get a favourable result.

“We want to do well for our home fans and finish the season on a high because we’ve not done well enough at home this season.”

The game will be the first time the Shrimps have come up against Dutch legend Hasselbaink who has impressed since taking over from Birmingham-bound Gary Rowett in November.

McKenna said: “He’s obviously done very well.

“They were doing well before he went in there and have been for the last three seasons.

“It can go two ways when a new manager comes in but he’s just maintained it and moved it on a little bit.

“Listening to all the reports the players have enjoyed it and he’s a big name who they can look up to.

“They’re in a fantastic position.”

Ryan Edwards will be assessed ahead of the game after going off against York with a back injury.
