Morecambe Ladies into next round of league cup
Rearranged from seven days earlier when the game was abandoned due to an injury to Hatters player Kerry Green, Nick Barrett’s side progressed thanks to goals from Megan Doherty, Georgia Lupton and Gina Pendlebury.
The match was more open that the last one with Doherty opening the scoring with a half volley from the edge of the box to make it 1-0.

Lupton replaced Doherty at the start of the second period and the replacement made an immediate impact.
After a goal-mouth scramble in the Stockport area, the ball fell to Lupton and her right-foot shot beat the ‘keeper to make it 2-1.
Stockport hit back again however, equalising through Kath Jones as the advancing Reader was beaten to the ball.
