Morecambe head to Fleetwood in JPT semi-finals

Morecambe will travel to Fleetwood in the area semi-finals of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

The Shrimps, just three games from a potential Wembley final, will visit Steven Pressley’s side in the week commencing December 7.

The two sides met at Highbury in the first round of last year’s competition with Jim Bentley’s side upsetting the League 1 outfit with a 3-1 win.

Other dates for Shrimps fans’ diaries have also been confirmed.

If The Shrimps win their FA Cup replay with Dagenham this Tuesday night at the Globe Arena they will host National League South side Whitehawk on Sunday, December 6.

Extended highlights of the 2pm kick-off will be part of the BBC’s FA Cup coverage.

Elsewhere, Morecambe’s rearranged League 2 clash with Dagenham will take place on Tuesday, December 1, with a 7.45pm kick-off at the Globe Arena.
