Morecambe draw Premier League giants Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the third round of the FA Cup

The Shrimps will head to Stamford Bridge on the weekend of January 9/10 to take on Frank Lampard's Blues.

Derek Adams' men got the better of National League opposition in the shape of Solihull Moors 4-2 in the second round at the weekend.

It is the first time the Shrimps have reached the third round since the 2002-03 season when they lost 4-0 to Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

Chelsea have won the competition on eight occasions, most recently in 2018 when they defeated Manchester United 1-0 at Wembley thanks to a penalty from Eden Hazard.
