The Shrimps travel to Leyton Orient on Saturday for their first league match since Boxing Day following a combination of positive Covid-19 tests and last weekend’s FA Cup trip to Chelsea.
They head south having seen Newcastle United recall Jake Turner halfway through a scheduled season-long loan at the Mazuma Stadium.

He made 17 appearances for the club but paid the price for a number of errors when being benched at half-time in Morecambe’s FA Cup win against Solihull Moors in November.
That saw Halstead reclaim his starting spot in goal with Newcastle opting to recall Turner this week, leaving the Shrimps with Andre Da Silva Mendes as back-up.
“We will look to fill it,” Adams said when asked about the goalkeeping vacancy.
“Mark Halstead is our number one and he has performed well.

“You always know, when there’s a clause in a contract that allows a player to leave in a certain period of time, that can be the case.
“There’s a clause like that in every loan deal. Jake wasn’t playing so he’s gone back to Newcastle.
“Newcastle and himself wanted to play games so I imagine he’ll try and get another move somewhere else.”
