Morecambe boss is encouraged by their start to the season
The early table sees the Shrimps in fifth place thanks to two wins in their opening three games.
It is their best start to a league season since Jim Bentley’s side began the 2016/17 campaign with four victories in the first five matches.

Adams said: “It was a good win at Southend, following on from our performance at Cheltenham.
“We’ve had an extremely good start to the League Two season, going to tough venues like Southend – who had been relegated last season –and Cheltenham, who were in the play-offs.
“We’re delighted to have got six points from our start.
“Any time you start a league campaign, you want to get off to a good start and we’ve been able to do that.”

The Valiants sit second in the table with two wins and a draw so far.
They finished just outside the play-offs last season but are widely fancied to be in the promotion shake-up this time around.
It was one win each last season, the Shrimps losing at Vale Park before winning January’s return meeting.

“If the remainder of the season had been played, they would have finished in the play-offs.
“They have seven points so far this season and we’re looking forward to it as you should with all games against the top teams.”
