A LARGE crowd saw the two newest teams to the league play out a very good cup final at Giant-Axe on Monday.
Lancaster Rovers took the lead in the 15th minute when Danny Syson curled the ball over the wall from a free-kick into the top corner leaving keeper Lance Drew stranded.
The game continued to be end-to-end but no further goals were scored before half-time.
The second half was the same as the first with good football being played.
Probably the busiest player on the field was the Rovers keeper Tom Lloyd, who at times was acting as sweeper to good effect.
The killer blow came in the 65th minute after a Rovers attack appeared to break down.
