Liverpool legends set for Lancaster City great's testimonial

More details have been announced for Lancaster City great Neil Marshall's testimonial against a Liverpool Legends side.

Reds greats including league and European Cup winners Jan Mølby, David Fairclough, Alan Kennedy and Phil Neal are all amongst those set to play at Giant Axe on Tuesday, April 26.

They will team up with other former professionals including former Dolly Blues management duo Darren Peacock and Trevor Sinclair, in a celebrity side against a Neil Marshall XI.

The City skipper’s side is set to include a number of players Marshall has played alongside during a distinguished 10-year career with his hometown club including Paul Haddow, Kenny Mayers, Barrie Stimpson and Morecambe’s Alex Kenyon.

Marshall is set to retire at the end of the season due to an ongoing battle with cancer having made more than 400 appearances for the Dolly Blues.

All entry will be pay on the gate on the night with entry £10 for adults and £5 for juniors/OAPs.
