There were concerns within the club that the final would not be played at all.

Originally the final was set to take place at Wigan Athletic's DW Stadium but it will now take place at the County Ground in Leyland behind closed doors although the club are hoping to stream it online.

Meanwhile, City will be hoping to build on their first win of the season when they take on FC United of Manchester this evening.

The Dolly Blues picked up their first three points of the season on Saturday thanks to a fine 4-2 win away at Grantham Town.
