Shaun Miller’s 13th of the season seven minutes from time cancelled out Matt Harrold’s opener early in the second half as a physical clash ended honours even.

Bentley said: “The be all and end all is that we haven’t got what we’ve deserved recently.

“I can’t criticise the players really and they’ve always given it their all.

“They’ve got a good togetherness and they keep grafting.

“We’ve come to a team today who’ve made a couple of good signings and are a strong, physical side.

“It’s one of the worst pitches in the division and you can’t play much football on it.

“We’ve got good footballers in the team but what we have also got is battlers too.

“As a group every one of them has battled away today and given it their all.

“We’ve run out of blood shirts again, Ryan Edwards has been smashed around and Chris Doyle has got two black eyes.

“They are giving it their all for the cause and in the end we got the goal we deserved.

“We were slightly the better side in the first half and they were probably slightly better in the second because they had the wind behind them and loaded it into the box.

“But they battled away and got a hard-earned point. It’s a big point for us and it’s what they’ve deserved.”
