It’s took until the eighth game of the season for the Riversiders to pick up their first three-point haul of the campaign, a 3-0 victory at home to Fleetwood Hesketh.

A game that was also Swan’s side’s first home match of the campaign, as work has been undertaken on their Riverside home, was in the balance until 15 minutes from time.

This Saturday, September 13, both sides are in Lancashire FA Amateur Shield first round action.

Slyne travel to West Lancashire Premier Division leaders Blackpool Wren Rovers while Garstang visit Croston Sports.
