Entwisle hat-trick seals Slyne win

A Tom Entwisle hat-trick saw Slyne-with-Hest open 2015 with a 3-1 victory over Thornton Cleveleys on Saturday.

The former Lancaster City man struck on the quarter hour, 10 minutes into the second half and with eight minutes to play as Slyne picked up three points to start the New Year.

The hat-trick took Entwisle’s tally to 13 goals for the season.

Ryan Walmsley got the goal for the visitors to Bottomdale Road on January 3.

Slyne, fourth in the West Lancashire Premier Division after the win, host Fleetwood Hesketh in the first round of the Richardson Cup this Saturday, January 10.

Elsewhere, Garstang started 2015 with a 3-0 defeat at Charnock Richard.

Neil Crossley’s side head to Vickerstown in the first round of the Richardson Cup this Saturday.
