Lancaster City boss Phil Brown is keen to see his players attack the new NPL Premier Division season.

The Dolly Blues have been handed an away fixture at Matlock Town on the opening day of the season and then will play Warrington Town at home the following Tuesday.

“I’m okay with the first game of the season,” said Brown. “We would have had to go to Matlock at some stage so why not the first game?

“Then we have got Warrington at home the following Tuesday and then I think we are away the next Saturday. I think we will be four Saturdays in before we have our first weekend home game.

“That’s a little disappointing but we are looking forward to the start of season, we are looking to attack the season and do better than last time.”
