Morecambe will meet Preston North End in the first round of the 2018/19 Carabao Cup.
The Shrimps will travel to Deepdale following the draw, which took place in Vietnam on Friday morning.
It will be the third time the two sides have met in the competition with the Shrimps winning 2-1 in August 2007 and North End 5-1 victors two years later – both times at Deepdale.
Jim Bentley’s players will be looking to go one better than last season when they were knocked out at the opening stage, losing 4-3 at Barnsley despite goals from Sam Lavelle, Michael Rose and Vadaine Oliver.
That defeat was the third time in four seasons that the Shrimps had gone out in the competition’s opening round.
The sole exception was in 2016/17 when they beat Rotherham United 5-4 before losing 2-1 at home to Bournemouth in round two.
According to the EFL website, the tie will take place in the week beginning Monday, August 13.
