Late goals from Padraig Amond and Paul Mullin handed the Shrimps an unlikely 2-1 win at the JD Stadium after Tom Eaves’ strike had seen the Shakers in front for the majority of the League 2 clash.

Bentley said: “For us to beat Bury home and away and in the manner we did it today I thought it was absolutely outstanding.

“I’m proud of the lads.

“They worked hard out of possession, in possession and second half especially we were very, very good.

“In the first half we got ourselves into some decent positions but we just couldn’t get that right pass.

“But I thought once (Jamie) Devitt came on at half-time he played particularly well and started creating opportunities.

“Then obviously we couldn’t have timed the other subs any better because I think it was the first touch for one and the second for another with Amond and Mullin coming on.

“It’s one of those days, it worked for us and I’m made up for the lads.
“They’ve put a lot of hard effort in throughout the season and over this weekend with the hard game against Accrington

“To beat one of the top two sides in the league, who are in great form, is a great achievement.”
