Carnforth run riot to end year on huge high

Carnforth ended 2015 with a crushing 109-5 victory over gallant visitors Bury 2nds and in doing so remained top of Division four North for the festive period.

Bury travelled with just 10 players so Carnforth loaned them players to keep the fixture.

Seventeen tries were scored with 12 conversions – Bury deserved their try with Joe Harrison grabbing their five points 
as well as one for Carnforth.

At Half time Carnforth were 55 points to the good and the second half was much of the same with Carnforth scoring at will – the Bury players never dropped their heads and were still putting in tackles and making forays 
forward until the final whistle.

Brad Wheatman grabbed four tries, Kieron Morgan, Olly Murray, Dan Blenkharn and Mathew Short all got two each whilst Joe Harrison, Donald Haddow, Jason Waterhouse, Graham Rich and John Greenland notching one apiece.

Short grabbed eight conversions with Morgan and Wheatman claiming two each.
