The hosts started strongly last Wednesday and scored twice in the opening 10 minutes through Zak Mills and Alex Danson.

Newminster, of Morpeth, Northumberland, struck back from the penalty spot a minute before half-time to set up a frantic second period.

With 10 minutes left Carnforth settled the tie when James Stanley struck a screamer into the top corner from 25 yards.
